Hi Everybody!
I finally got my first 50mm lens! It took me really long to decide between the Nikon AF-D 50mm 1.4 and 1.8. Eventually I chose the 1.4. The main reason for my decision was the nicer Bokeh-effect and the possibility to shoot in even darker light conditions. The lens costs around 300 € here in Germany but I got a nice deal via Ebay and “only” paid 220 €. Since I collected exactly this amount of money by selling some of by pictures to friends&family it was perfect.
Soo today I got the lens and already took some shots. I have to say it’s AMAZING! I’m going to write more about it in the next days. Here are my first shots. They are not perfect, only some quickies. Tell me what you think – Zoë ♥
Great pics, I shoot with Hasselblad and Canon…I have the 50mm f1.2, I do alot of low light wedding photos.

Nice Bokeh. Great shots! Luck you to get such a fast lens. I have a f/2 leica lens and I absoutly love it! I hope you have a lot of fun with the new lens.

You are going to have so much fun with that 1.4. I have a 1.8 and have gotten some nice shots with it. Check the spider shot on my blog, taken at 1.8. I can’t even imagine what that would have looked like with a 1.4.
