This was taken with my new 50mm at f1.8. This lense truly is amazing, especially for potraits due to its great lense speed and excellent sharpness. I also really love the beautiful depth of field it produces. I’d say it really is a must-have for every passionate photographer.

Hi Everybody! I finally got my first 50mm lens! It took me really long to decide between the Nikon AF-D 50mm 1.4 and 1.8. Eventually I chose the 1.4. The main reason for my decision was the nicer Bokeh-effect and the possibility to shoot in even darker light conditions. The lens costs around 300 € [...]
